It’s Been A Minute

It’s been a full year since we started this journey. Last year felt like it flew by AND it feels so long ago at the same time. In the last year we got the hard stuff done. We crossed all of our “Ts” and dotted off of our “Is.” We assembled an amazing board and advisory board. We created our bylaws and SOP. We focused on what we want to do to help kids in the Tampa Bay area and we went through it piece by piece.

What we decided to start off with is our “Small Magic Opportunity Grant.” This grant will be a place where kids between the ages of 13-19 can create a community project in conjunction with another non profit, school, church, or community organization. They will design the project, create the budget, and timeline, and implenet the steps tomake it happen. All of this under the watchful eye of the partner organization with an assist from the Small Magic Foundation.

We know that outside of the community benefiting from a project to improve it, doing this will also give the kids lessons in leadership, organization, and teamwork AND show them the power of philanthropy and giving back.
