We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of background or circumstance. That's why the M.A.G.I.C. Grant process is designed to reduce financial barriers and put real resources behind youth-led ideas.

Through our competitive grant program, young people ages 13–19 apply for funding to design and lead projects that create meaningful impact in their communities. These aren't symbolic opportunities. They're real budgets, real partnerships, and real responsibility. Students bring the vision. We help make it possible.

Rather than working on a set application calendar, we partner closely with two to three organizations at a time, giving each partnership the attention it needs to succeed. Depending on need, student interest, and available funding, multiple grants may be awarded within a single organization. The timeline is flexible and shaped around the students involved, typically spanning one to three months. Before applying, students attend a workshop with us that walks them through how to find a community project, what SMART goals are, how to build a budget, and how to put together a basic idea for their grant. From there, students identify a community need, develop a project plan, and secure a partnership with a local school, nonprofit, church, or community organization. Selected grantees receive funding along with guidance and support to carry their project from concept to completion. The process is intentionally hands-on: young people are expected to lead, problem-solve, and follow through.

The results go beyond the projects themselves. When a young person is trusted with real responsibility and given the tools to act on it, something changes in them. They gain confidence, leadership skills, and a firsthand understanding of what it means to serve others. Those are the kinds of lessons that last a lifetime, and the kind of people who go on to make their communities better for everyone.
